Go to Jack Prelutsky's website by clicking here.  Explore all of the short poems that are found on his site.  You may also want to read some of his books (some are listed on this blog), which you can find in your library.  After doing so create your own short poem about anything that you want in the stye of Jack Prelutsky.  You may even create a picture to post as well that represents your poem if you would like as well.

This project will help develop a students skills in exploring a blog , the internet by going to other webpages, subscribing to posts for updates, and literary skills by reading others poems and writing their own.  Target grade level 2-5.
